Crazy weekend here with me not getting as much done in the studio as I had hoped, but I did make some progress on what I think will be my last "Wabbit" of the season, "Winston". I finished his first layer of facial paint yesterday and worked on his egg body on Friday, but there is still much to be done. Below is "Winston" amongst his naked WIP (works in progress) buddies! (He has a bucket and bow tie, but they are being painted separately, and I didn't put them in the photographs.)
Winston loves his bunny slippers, "Puff" and "Fluff". They keep his toes warm!
Below is a close up of "Winston's" face. I still have some finish work to do on his face and as you can see I have lots of painting to finish on his Easter egg decorated body.
He is wonderful! And I love his bunny slippers.
ReplyDeleteWinston is very cute ... has he been spoken for yet? If not, I would be interested in finding out about purchasing him. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you Liz...those slippers keep his toes toasty!
ReplyDeleteEvelyn, this little guy will be available for sale at midnight on Friday night, March 12 on SpookyTime Jingles. Send me an email at: monkeycatsstudio@charter.net and I will respond in full to you and add you to the mailing list so you see all the offerings for the month & what is happening in my little studio.
Thank you both!!
Laurie
Aw, he's so sweet, Laurie! I love his slippers. :) And I'm wondering how many paintbrushes you go through per wabbit! LOL! xo Pam
ReplyDeleteI so love the shooes....did he get those at zappos? SO sweet Laurie and the dots are sooo worth it!!
ReplyDeletePam you have no idea how many paint brushes I go through. When I find them on sale I'll buy a dozen of my favorite....then I mark them so I know not to use a new brush for glazing. "Destroyer of brushes" should be my nickname!!!
ReplyDeleteJackie...he doesn't know where they came from because they were a gift from his "sweetie"...HA!!!
Back to paint for me...he is coming along today!
Laurie
Beautiful paint job! He looks so rascally! I love how you do Easter!
ReplyDeleteHe is ADORABLE Laurie! He makes me smile! :-) Susan
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie pie Laurie!! I just want to grab his ears, ever so softly of course :o), & give him a big ole smooch!!
ReplyDeleteThis bunny is just the cutest!!!! I love him!
ReplyDeleteThank you Brandi!!!
ReplyDeleteSusan, I do love making bunnies, but I'm really ready to jump into the Halloween pieces. Call me silly!!
You can smooch him Allison...he likes kisses!!!
Thanks Mary Helen.
I finished up his body paint today, glass glittered his bow tie and painted the faces on the bunny slippers. He is coming along and should be finished tomorrow..yippee!!

Hugs,
Candy
The slippers are a crack up!
ReplyDeleteSo clever and cute!!!
ReplyDeleteLaurie, I just love Winston!!! He has such a sweet expression and those bunny slippers are just to-die for cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm a brush-wrecker. I should be in a 12 step program ... but I buy inexpensive brushes so I don't feel quite so guilty. I love the flats ... and have a bunch in every size I could find. I've even tried all those cleaning solutions and gels ... to no avail. ;~) I still ruin brushes.
Again, Winston is just fabulous!!! I can't wait to see his photos when he's all finished.
Cheers,
Dana
Thank you Mariann!!
ReplyDeleteOh Candy, I bet you do understand!!
Ah William, everybody needs a good pair of bunny slippers!
Thank you Desperate Blogger!
Dana...brushes are a buge issue with me. Just ruined another round 4 and 6 today on a gourd head figure. I was over half done before I realized I was scrubbing colors together on the surface and I had created two new fuzzy headed brushes...oh boy--bad Laurie!!!
He is DONE!!! I will post a picture in the next day or two.
Thank you all!
Laurie
