I’m afraid that Bobby is a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to bat walking and this will probably be his last attempt.

Bobby and Barnaby stand 7.75” tall to the top of the bat (5” to the top of Bobby’s head), is 4.5” wide and 3” deep

The work is a one of a kind paper mache original created without the use of molds, is painted in acrylic paints and sealed with a matte polymer varnish.  He comes signed, numbered and dated.

Bobby Boo is full of details in his paint including a full moon with radiating
light waves setting on an ombre painted night sky filled with stars and bats.
Even Barnaby Bat has the details of a finely painted vest with lapels and a tiny
star pattern to repeat the design motif.

I will sell the work to the first person to send me an email
requesting “Bobby Boo Boy and Barnaby Bat” with the price in the subject line to

As always, thank you so much for your consideration

Finally, an update on what is happening at Monkey-Cats Studio plus images of a little Boo Boy that will be available tomorrow night at 9:00 p.m. Eastern as part of the EHAG Emporium.  Short notice on the work being available, but that seems to be how things are going right now in my life.

We have been under siege, I mean construction, since October.  It started with our roof being replaced, eventually turned to our windows and doors being replaced in 20 degree weather (silly of us to think it would be a piece of cake when we changed the dimensions on all but 3 windows, which meant drywall work and the two of us completely repainting the entire interior of the house....darn cats were useless except for Jake who managed to run his tail through fresh paint a few times) and my studio was boxed up for almost two months.  Last week they finally finished the new siding and the electrician is currently outside replacing our exterior outlets and lights.  My studio is back in place and I am back in production.  Life is good!!!

On to the Boo Boy available the night of March 31 (tomorrow).  This is Bobby, a not so brave little ghostie, that thought it would be fun to have a little bat to take out trick or treating.  Barnaby, the little bat, had other ideas and quickly wrapped himself around Bobby's head doing a little dive bombing in the process.  Bobby was both surprised and a little scared of his companion and realizes he isn't very good at bat walking.  I'm pretty sure that Barnaby will not get to go trick or treating again with Bobby.

This little paper mache sculpture is a one of a kind hand-sculpted original created without the use of molds.  The painted design is unique to this figure and has details on Barnaby bat of a small vest with painted stars and lapels, as well as Bobby Boo's shirt being painted with a night scene filled by a moon with stars and bats.

The figure is fully painted with the night sky and star motif continuing on the back of the figure. He measures 5" to the top of Bobby's pointy head (7.75" to the top of Barnaby Bat's  head), 4.5" wide and 3":deep.

A side view shows how the design wraps around Bobby's torso and how Barnaby's tether wraps around the top of Bobby's head.

I will update this blog tomorrow night at 9 p.m. Eastern with his price and how to contact me for purchase.  I will sell the work to the first person to email with a purchase request.
