Online Absence Explained

I know it has been almost a year since I updated my blog, but I don't have the luxury of spending as much time online as in the past.  I do quick facebook updates, but sitting in front of a computer screen is problematic now.  I had a cornea bleed a little over a year ago and was very lucky it did not fall in my line of vision, especially since it was in my good eye.  I was thrilled I had dodged a bullet.

Six months later I was reading and noticed the words were getting blurred.  I thought I wasn't looking through my bifocal correctly or perhaps needed new glasses even through the pair I was wearing was only 6 months old.  I went back to my ophthalmologist and was gently told that due to my age my bad eye was worse and will continue on that path and my brain could no longer compensate when bringing the two eyes together to give me crisp vision for the same number of hours a day as I was used to.  I was told to limit my studio time and especially my computer time as it is harder on my focusing ability.  The choice was I could spend time on the computer or in the studio.  I picked the latter.

Works are fewer this year, but I believe the quality is still where it needs to be.  Everything I am creating is going to the Bewitching Peddlers of Halloween show in Chelsea, Michigan, September 30, except for one work that is going to Cactus Gallery in California.  I still plan on having an online sale in early October.  Below you will see a number of the works from this year's collection with a circus theme.
