Slice and Count

Sneak peek on Slice and Count. Finished Slice last night and painted him like a white lumina pumpkin instead of a traditional orange pumpkin. Slice is shown on his base in the first photograph holding on to Count's leash to make sure he doesn't fly away and get lost. Unlike most bats, Count has a terrible sense of direction.

A closer view of Count shows his vampire fangs and orange eyes. This view also shows you the copper color of Slice's eyes and the shadowing around them, as well as his sun kissed cheeks and almost perfect smile.

Slice is wearing a deep orange vest with white and black polka dots, with a little striped sweater, shirt and tie his mother picked out for him to wear to the carnival. He is also wearing white and black striped stockings. This view shows how the wire (Count's leash) appears to be held by Slice's little fingers.

Side views of Slice.

Look at that face!!!! Alas, it wasn't the lack of a dental plan that caused Slice to lose this tooth, but a wild pitch thrown by his brother, Sliver.

I need to get back to painting on Gourdon, the oldest of the three "Lumina" brothers. Hope you enjoyed the peek!!!

Hope You All Had a Great Labor Day Weekend!!

Wow, woke up this morning and it was cool, dark and rainy with a high of 70 degrees forecast and a low of 45 tonight...I think fall may come to us early this year!!!! We will still get some late summer temps, but I have to say that this has been one summer of strange weather here for us on the Plains.

We had high winds over the weekend, but it didn't prevent us from having a great time and drinking some margaritas and wine at the 2 barbeques we attended. We have some of the best friends and neighbors and feel blessed for our good fortune in having these relations in our lives. I still managed to get a few things painted between the evening festivities, but will have to wait for better light to take photos worth posting later today.

Just wanted to let you know I'm back this week!!!!

Hope you had a great weekend!!
