What do you think?

Okay, what do you think? I thought I was going to put a handle on this pumpkin, but when I finished painting him yesterday and put him on a base to dry, I said, "Do I really need to put a handle on him?" So my husband responded with, "No, he needs a lid." What?!!!! That wasn't an option I offered so where did that come from? After looking at it, I thought it would be cool with a lid that had a curled stem handle to lift off. So what do you think?

Poor little "Otto" is confused now!

The next post I do will be my 200th post....it will happen this week so keep an eye on my blog to enter the giveaway!!

Have a great day...and help me out with Otto if you would!
Laurie

Otto is absolutely delightful and seems pretty confident with his charming looks. I think he would look great either way. I can picture a lid with a curly stem too :)

Hi Lady Laurie!

Otto DOES need a lid. He would stand out from all the other artists' current "handle" candy containers! Your husband has a good eye!

Thanks again for your continued support of my art, it means SO much to me...kind of gives me the courage to carry on...if you know what I mean?

"Coco" will go out in tomorrow's mail and hope you will enjoy her!!!

XOXO

I do LOVE the lid idea! You never know what brilliant ideas the hubbies will come up with :)!!

A hat lid would be fun, but a normal pumpkin lid with twisted vines would look great too.
But, i also reckon he looks fab without anything and think he's just wonderful.

Go for the hat!

Gotta vote for the lid. Handles always get bent or broken. And I agree with the others who said lids add more personality although he's certainly full of personality right now!

Yikes!!!! I guess Otto is getting a "lid"!! Thank you all, guess I just needed a little nudge and you are certainly the group to get me to do it!! I have to admit, that husband of mine is really tuned into what I'm doing, and many of my notes and sketches are from, "what if you did this," comments. Got to love him, he is the Halloween man that dressed as a pumpkin-head scarecrow and scared the adults that sent their children up the sidewalk to the house to Trick or Treat(he looked like he was just a stuffed figure at the edge of the driveway, being very still and would reach out and touch them).

Thank you for taking the time to help me with this!
