Little Hooty Owl

This is my first attempt at a little owl figure for Halloween, and he isn't quite there yet. He needs to be "monkey-catted" up a bit more before I'm satisfied so I'm sketching out ways to try to make that happen. I'm finding out it's hard to make an owl beak smile......

especially when I think of owls as being so worldly and wise, but I have some ideas so we will see how the next sculpt goes!

In the meantime have a great weekend and enjoy the spring weather!

You sure are on your way, Laurie! I think he looks neat...but you are the creator and I can't wait to see what you do to "Monkey-Cat" him up! LOL

Have a great weekend.

I had a bit of a thought....when I made fabric owls, I made slits for eyes, somewhat like cats. I know that would change the look a bit. Just a lil something, I thought I would share.

Hi Laurie! I'm thinking he looks pretty darn Monkey-Catted right now. I like his expression - he's very intelligent. ;) Happy weekend to you! xox Pam

That's my problem Pam...he looks intelligent and most of my crazy characters look...well, crazy or a little silly!! Ahhhh-ha!! Thank you my dear!!

Tonya, I sketched a slit eye too, but ended up with this eye after going through several different stages of the eye evolution. Something to consider on the next one!!!
